Help Mayor Phil get re-elected

In the almost 8 years that I have served as Mayor, I have compiled a record of accomplishment that not only address the issues most important to our residents, but have also made long lasting changes that will improve the lives of Franklin residents for decades to come!

In regard to Municipal Property Taxes, the amount paid by the average homeowner is actually lower than when I first took office as Mayor. This accomplishes one of my key goals which is to keep Franklin as affordable as possible, while also maintaining the quality level of services that our residents expect. We have increased transparency by televising and streaming more public meetings. We created a Northern branch of the library and built a Southern branch as well which resulted in significant savings over the previous arrangement and makes it more convenient for residents to take advantage of the many services the library has to offer. We  continue to preserve open space, including over 500 + acres in just the last 6 years which also prevents more overdevelopment. We worked with community leaders on energy aggregation referendum, which ultimately passed and will save ratepayers significant dollars. We successfully led Franklin and the region through the COVID emergency providing testing, PPE equipment, and local vaccination clinics all while keeping the public regularly informed. Of course we also built the Youth Center which is now open and will continue to serve the community well into the future. These are just some of the accomplishments we have achieved but the best is yet to come!

I believe that while elections are about the future, voters also look at a candidate’s record when analyzing whether or not that person is the right choice to lead them into that future. I’m proud of my record of accomplishment, and I’m excited to continue to build upon that record if voters so choose to honor me with another 4 year term as their Mayor.
